What We Do . . . Innovation and Action
The Information Technology Division (ITD) supports the mission of NC State University by planning, developing and implementing systems and services for academic (student, teaching and research) computing and strategic information technologies.
Chancellor Oblinger's phrase "Innovation in action" captures the identity, tradition and role of ITD. Since its days as the Computing Center, the organization has prided itself on both innovation in the development of technology systems and action in the form of technology support and services to advance the highest aspirations of the university's diverse community- including incoming students, college IT support staff, and world-class researchers.
ITD's activities encompass all levels of the campus IT environment, from high-quality day-to-day help desk support for the campus community and the IT infrastructure it depends upon, to strategic planning for the efficient functioning and ongoing evolution of information technologies.
Our staff take great pride in the work we do and the contributions we make to NC State's role as a leading institution in the use of technology for teaching, learning and the advance of knowledge. For more information, see About ITD
